Architectural salvage is the practice of saving important building materials for reuse. This can happen during a remodel or prior to a demolition. This historic preservation not only keeps valuable pieces out of the landfill, but keeps adding charm to buildings in new and unique ways.

To say that Michael, the owner, is old school would be an understatement. While we don’t accept credit cards, Google / Apple Pay, Venmo, etc; Michael can direct you to the three closest ATMs. Checks and cash are still king at Unassimilated.

We wish we had the manpower to do this, but it’s just not usually feasible. We don’t do demolition, either.

There are some items that we will purchase from the public, but please call first. Some items are donated, some are exchanged for store credit, and others are purchased at salvage prices.

The Unassimilated campus spans almost an entire city block. You will need a tour by one of our staff for your first visit. Even if you have frequent flier miles with us, we still need to keep track of who is on-site. We always want to greet our guests and see if we can be of assistance in locating any particular items for you.

Don’t even get us started on some shipping nightmare stories! Items must be picked up in person at our location. Many of these items are in delicate condition and are one-of-a-kind. Not something that shipping insurance can replace.
